Holiday Shopping: 5 Year Old Boy Gift Ideas

We selfishly based these gift guides on our own kids, which is why I’m writing the 5 Year Old Boy Gift Ideas post and Heather handled the girl version. Obviously, there are no gender assignments to toys. There are a ton of things on my list a girl would love and vice versa.

My little maker has gotten his use out of this craft box and I swear it’s reproducing craft supplies because it seems to never run out!

Just like his brother, he’s gotten a lot of use out of his Kindle Fire. This kid version comes with a year of FreeTime Unlimited so they can play games, listen to books, and a kid safe browser.

We have been reading the illustrated Harry Potter books lately and he is enthralled with them. There is a box set of books 1-3 and the fourth one was just released as well.

What 5 year old doesn’t love slime? Sullivan is especially in to “experiments” these days so he’s going to love what this slime kit has to offer.

Sullivan has taken to Harry Potter more than Harrison ever has so I’m excited to build this Hogwarts Clock Tower lego set with him after being relegated to building only Minecraft sets for so long.

A 3D maze is all the rage with my boys. This one is a perfect beginner sphere.

I’m not sure what kind of brilliant marketing they did, but the top talked about present this year is definitely the Wubble Bubble Ball.

A real camera is on my budding photographer’s list but I think he will be satisfied with this kid friendly camera instead.
