Isn’t “DIY No Sew Faux Fur Tree Skirt” a mouthful? Ha! I have lusted after faux fur tree skirts every holiday season for years but could never bring myself to pay the $100+ price tag for something you set presents on top of. So this year, I had my sh!t together enough to actually make my own DIY no sew faux fur tree skirt, and it only cost $26!
Materials For DIY No Sew Faux Fur Tree Skirt
STEP 1
Cut your fabric in to a circle. I eye-balled this mostly, as I do. I bought two yards of fabric so I measured and cut it in to a square. I then, using my best freehand, used a metallic sharpie to draw a square that I then cut out. From there, I cut a straight line to the center and cut out a circle that will wrap directly around the tree. (This is hard to explain so if you have any questions please leave them in the comments!)
STEP 2
Now, using your hot glue gun and your upside down tree skirt, glue around the outside edges of the skirt and fold them over to hide the imperfect edge. I did this in 12ish inch sections so the glue wouldn’t dry before I could fold the fabric over onto itself. Do this all the way around the perimeter of the skirt, including the “smaller circle” you cut that will be closest to the tree.
STEP 3
Take your ribbon and cut it in to 6 six-inch strips. With your skirt still upside down, use the hot glue gun to secure the ribbon as your ties to hold it together under your tree.
STEP 4
Let dry (like 5 minutes) then put your new DIY no sew faux fur tree skirt under your tree and enjoy!
