If there is one thing we’ve learned this year, it is that life doesn’t stop during a pandemic. People still move and relocate for various reasons and real estate is alive and well. Whitney Ranch, in Rocklin, is no exception. Brittany and I were able to tour the Eastridge at Whitney Ranch neighborhood recently and we are excited to share a sneak peek at the floor plans they offer.
Whitney Ranch is a master-planned community, located in Rocklin. This suburb of Sacramento as situated within a few hours driving distances to the Sierra Nevadas and the Bay Area, making it an ideal place to live for people who love to explore California. With so many schools and parks, including the city’s first fully accessible Willard Park, and it’s very own app to help you navigate all of the incredible amenities, it is clear that Whitney Ranch is designed with young, progressive families in mind.
Richmond American Homes is offering four different floor plans in their Eastridge At Whitney Ranch neighborhood. Three are modeled for you to tour now. One thing we immediately noticed about these homes was how spacious and open they felt. They are large homes, to be sure, but you notice as you walk through how well space is used so you never feel crowded. Each model has numerous options to make each home feel more customized, and it’s easy to see that you really could adapt each model to work perfectly for your family structure.
The Timothy
- 2500 sq. ft.
- Single story
- 3-4 bedrooms
- 3 bathrooms
- 2 car garage
The smallest model at Eastridge is Timothy. While not modeled, it does come with many different options, including the option for a dining room, study, or fourth bedroom.
The Teagan
- 2,920 sq. ft.
- 2 stories
- 4-5 bedrooms
- 3 car garage
The first model at Eastridge is The Teagan. The living area is open and inviting. The full bath and bedroom downstairs would be ideal for visiting grandparents. Upstairs there is a loft space, and the master has and the option for its own balcony. There is even an option to turn the fourth bedroom into a retreat just off the master. Plus, The Teagan has a 3 car garage, which can be hard to find in this area!
The Catherine
- 2,880-3,120 sq. ft.
- 2 stories
- 3-5 bedrooms
- 2 car garage
On the outside, The Catherine seems like a single story. We were shocked to find the stairs as we walked through! The first floor has more than enough living space to be perfectly functional on its own, but the space upstairs is what really stands out. It can be used as a bonus space, which would be ideal for a family with teens. You can also make it into a bedroom. This could work for anyone working shift work, such as nurses and first responders who may have to sleep at opposite times of day from the rest of the family. This model would also be ideal for someone who works from home and wants an office with privacy.
The Tate
- 3,440-3,750 sq. ft.
- 2 stories
- 4-7 bedrooms
- 2-3 car garage
The Tate is by far the most flexible, and largest, floor plan offered at Eastridge. The front door opens to a large staircase (our favorite part), which gives the entry a grand feeling. There is also an option to have two sliding doors, which would be ideal in the spring and fall months here. This kitchen also had a butler pantry! With up to 7 bedrooms, storage space galore, and plenty of options for living space, it definitely feels like it was made with large families in mind.
As moms, the thing that stood out the most to us about Eastridge is the elementary school being built just across the street from the models. As of right now, the school has an expected opening date of 2022. Living within walking distance of school is a real game-changer, not to mention time saver, and this detail really stood out to us. Willard Park is also within walking distance.
COVID-19 Safety Precautions
If you are hesitant about touring model homes during COVID-19, let us assure you that we felt very safe. The team at Eastridge is doing all they can to keep the environment safe and clean. They have hand sanitizer at the ready, and they are also asking everyone to wear masks. Each family is given a cone to put at the front door of the model they are in to alert other families to go onto the next model. They are also limiting how many families go through at a time, and asking each to register so that have a way to do contact tracing, should the need arise. We were really happy to see all the precautions they have in place!
Eastridge at Whitney Ranch is located at 3303 Jamboree Drive, Rocklin, CA 95765. Prices start around $570k, and their sales office can be reached at (916)581-7003.
