So we’ve been trying to revive these for a few weeks now, but we kept getting side tracked. But between a sinus infection that just won’t quit (which is why I’ve been absent from Insta Stories…you’re welcome!) and a general “adulting is hard” attitude this week, what better way to turn my mood around than to focus on the positive? Fake it til ya make it, right?
Pretty Things: The Bouqs sent me this gorgeous bouquet of tulips this week. These farm fresh flowers are shipped right to your door. You can get 15% off a gorgeous bouquet by going here and using promo code hrtbt74844a. Spring is full of birthdays and celebrations (Hello, Mother’s Day!), and these are a really affordable way to send a gift from the comfort of your own home (my favorite way).
Planning: Brittany and family will be going to Disneyland next week and my family will be going just two weeks after! We’ve been having the best time planning and it’s hard to tell who’s more excited- us or the kids. You can read more about Brittany’s preparations here. You can also read about some of my tips here.
Watching:It’s the best time of year, which of course means there is more than one Real Housewives franchise currently airing. We’ve got a watch party planned for tonight to catch the first episode of New York and junk food binge. Thinking maybe I’ll whip up another batch of these grilled cheese and wine pairings we tried the other day.
Reading: I’m about a third of the way into The Nest and I’m loving it so far! Easy read and well written.
Random Things I’m Loving:
These are my all time favorite kid shoes. They are seriously all terrain and perfect for everything from splash pads to preschool. I got Isla a pair last summer and they are still going strong and I just got Nolan a pair too. They are slightly more than I typically like to spend on kid shoes, but my kids’ feet grow at a snail’s pace and they are so sturdy, I think it’s worth the investment. You can wash them in the sink with soap and water, they’re indestructible and both my kids can put them on all on their own. Huge mom win.
Whole Sisters is a blog Brittany got me hooked on when we did Whole 30. I’m still mostly eating Whole 30 compliant (compliantly?), and sweet potatoes are life. They shared on their Insta Stories this week that they threw sweet potatoes in the crockpot for like 3 hours on high with no water or anything an they came out perfectly. I tried it and I am a believer! Saved me so much prep time instead of my usual peeling, chopping and roasting routine!
This sweatshirt is entirely too accurate and may need to be added to my house clothes repertoire soon.
What are you loving this week? We’re in for a rainy weekend and I’m here for it because I’m sick of all this pollen in the air.
Happy weekend, friends!

These are always our favorites to read too! I always feel so silly writing them, but as a reader it’s what I go for! Happy Friday, friend!
