MOM WIN OF THE WEEK
We’ve been trying to go to the BIG pumpkin patch in our area since the end of September when it opened, but between sickness, work schedules, bad weather and smoky air we just haven’t been able to make it work. We took a total gamble and headed out around 4pm the other day. My kids usually turn into 3 headed, dinner crazed demons around 4:45pm (please tell me my kids aren’t the only ones the have to eat at 5 on the dot?!), but it actually went really, really well! We had the run of the place, awesome golden hour lighting and only a few tantrums. We are definitely soaking up these last few nights of warm weather before the time changes.
MOM FAIL OF THE WEEK
We had a really tough night of sleep last week. Nolan was popping a new tooth and allergies hit us pretty hard so stuffy noses and nasal drip made Isla sleep even worse than normal. It was a tough few nights of dealing with their shenanigans all day and all night. I am not a good mom when I don’t get decent sleep. Please, kids, figure it out. I’m not even asking for great sleep. Just mediocre will do.
WATCHING
I consider myself a Real Housewives aficionado, but I never got into Atlanta. I remember watching the first episode when it first aired and couldn’t handle Brielle (Kim’s daughter) getting a Louis Vuitton for her 11th? birthday and never watched again. I’m rewatching on Hulu and I’m all in.
LISTENING
The Bitch Sesh podcast. It was on hiatus for a few weeks, but it’s back and it is so, so funny. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but if you like Housewives, or even just funny women, you need to listen. Everyone I know who I’ve recommended it to has loved it. I’m not kidding when I say you will literally laugh out loud when you listen.
PLANNING
I’ve been busy working on the kids’ Halloween costumes and I’m so excited. Stay tuned! You’re going to love it!
What kind of things do you have planned for this weekend?
