The Super Bowl is the best excuse to make this Cream Cheese Bean Dip! Actually, it’s the best excuse to make all the delicious appetizers and eat all day! Whether you’re going to a big party or just having a small gathering at home this dip will be a hit.
I’m not usually a fan of warm dips, but this cream cheese bean dip is an exception. Anything with cheese is usually a win with me. I’ve served it at several parties and get togethers, including our Wine Exchange Party, and it was a hit.
Don’t let its, ahem, less than attractive appearance deter you. I’ll be honest, this was a tricky one to photograph (bad winter light aside) because it’s not all that pretty to look at. Luckily, what it lacks in appearance it makes up for in tastiness. *New photos have been added when the post was updated in April 2020
And, bonus, it’s super easy to make! Mix everything together, sprinkle with some cheese and pop it in the oven. Throw some tortilla chips out and let everyone dig in.
Here is everything you need to know to make a cream cheese bean dip to enjoy while you watch a game or gather with friends!
- 1 cup sour cream
- 16 oz refried beans
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese
- 1/4 cup salsa (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350 degress.
- Mix sour cream, beans and cream cheese together. Stir in taco seasoning and salsa if using.
- Pour the mixture into an 8x8 baking dish. Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted on top.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
The recipe calls for taco seasoning. Store bought is totally fine, but it tends to be on the saltier side for my taste. I love this homemade taco seasoning Brittany posted a while back!
Is anyone else super excited to see Justin Timberlake perform at half time? He has been my greatest love since the N’Sync days. And the commercials, of course.
I don’t mind watching football, but it’s been so long since we’ve had all day Sunday (and Monday, and Thursday ha!) to devote to watching football every weekend that I’m just out of the loop.
What team will you be rooting for?
