Halloween is my favorite time of year. From the pumpkin patches to the themed events, it’s all very exciting to me. I don’t know if it’s the nostalgia or seeing the excitement through my kids’ eyes, but I sure do love it.
Candy is an integral part of Halloween and being fresh off a grazing table creation high, I channeled that energy in to a Halloween version!
The Halloween candy board is a super easy and beautiful way to serve candy at your next Halloween party. Check out my tips to put together the perfect Halloween candy board, inspired by all the charcuterie boards and grazing tables on the internet.
Place props first
The options are limitless here. I decided to go simple and use a candy corn shaped dish that I already had and a white pumpkin. You can probably find something cute in your own decorations!
Choose your candy
Most of our candy is from the Dollar Tree to keep costs down, with a few things from Target. Halloween specific candy is fun––candy corn, candy pumpkins, vampire teeth, bone candy, witch fingers, and eyeball gummies.
Fill in with less expensive, “filler” candy that matches the color theme. If you’re doing traditional Halloween colors, Reese’s Pieces, orange Starburst, peanut butter cups, black licorice, etc.
Some other great ideas would be Harry Potter chocolate frogs, jelly beans, Halloween lollipops, or this assortment would be perfect.
Choose a focal point and arrange around
I chose the dish filled with eyeballs as my focal point then just started filling in around it! When you’re about halfway through it feels like it’s not coming together but trust me, keep filling in until there are no gaps and it ends up working out.
There you have it! Tag us on Instagram or on Facebook if you create your own Halloween Candy Board, we would love to see!
