This foursome of friends are a very active bunch… and that is putting it mildly. It is nearly impossible to get a photo of all of them together so when we dreamt up the idea for this post, we knew we had to do it where they were in their element–the wild (aka the park).
As moms, both Heather and I know the value of stylish clothing for our brood that is also affordable, which is why we teamed up with Crazy 8 to dress our kids for the holidays and through the “winter.” I put “winter” in quotes because it’s mid-December and while super cold in the morning, by the afternoon we are all in t-shirts. #CaliforniaKids 😉 Style is, of course, trumped by comfort and durability when it comes to kid clothes. But, even after a rough and tumble park sesh, these clothes were still looking good and didn’t prevent them from climbing, jumping or chasing!
Crazy 8 clothes really hit every mark, especially because their clothes run true to size. Since the majority of our shopping is usually done online, inconsistent sizing is frustrating. Heather was nervous to order initially since she wasn’t overly familiar with their sizing, but it was a non-issue.
There are a few things that we do to make dressing our crew just a little bit easier, too:
- Dress in layers. Like I said before, California “winter” is weird and we often end up stripping that first layer before lunchtime. A plaid shirt over a tee or a vest over a long sleeve looks super cute but is also super functional.
- All flannel err thing. Flannel is on trend this season for adults and kids! It’s a simple look that makes a big statement. Plus, it’s festive!
- When all else fails: accessorize. Isla and Harrison loved their additional accessories. Isla has on an adorable crown headband and Harrison rocked his aviator sunglasses.
Be sure to head to Crazy 8 and check out their adorable new arrivals for the winter and beyond. Comment below with your favorite Crazy 8 styles!
