We selfishly based these gift guides on our own kids, which is why I’m writing the gifts for the school age boy post and Heather handled the girl version. Obviously, there are no gender assignments to toys. There are a ton of things on my list a girl would love and vice versa.
I’ve definitely felt guilt because Sullivan basically gets all of Harrison’s hand me downs. I’ve tried my best to allow for the differences in their personalities even though it’s often easier to lump them together; they are very different kids. I’ve also been trying to make a conscious effort to allow for “new” things for Sullivan, not just items that used to be Harrison’s.
