This month we’re bringing you all of our favorite things from lip gloss to water bottles to spot stain remover. These are all things we use and love, and we think you’ll love them too!
As always, we would never want to promote frivolous spending, but if your budget allows, we think a gadget or item to solve a problem in your household, make life a little easier, or dare we say enjoyable, then we say go for it!
Brittany’s Favorites
I have been thisclose to purchasing the Apple brand braided watch band but couldn’t get over the price ($99!) I stumbled upon this Amazon version and it is PERFECT. My only complaint is that it stretched out a bit and I had to order another one sized down but even for $11 twice, still worth it.
This dry shampoo that has turned into a cult favorite lives up to the hype. It is plant-based and doesn’t leave white residue like so many other dry shampoos.
I have one awkward corner where I need 5 things plugged in and this surge protector came to the rescue. My only complaint is the touch night light feature doesn’t mix well with curious cats.
My newest obsession is lip gloss and this one is top notch. It’s not sticky or tacky at all and lasts for a long time!
I’ve been on the hunt for a light weight foundation for summer and this serum foundation has stolen my heart. I love The Ordinary products for skincare so when I saw they came out with a foundation line, I had to check it out. Plus it’s budget-friendly at just $7.50!
While I still love my Stanley, I needed something more leak proof. These Owala water bottles are great. Both boys got one as well and they are obsessed with the hidden straw.
Heather’s Favorites
Bogg Bags get a lot of hype on the Internet, and after a month of practically living out of one at the ball field, I can attest that they’re worth the hype. I’ve found Dillard’s to be the best source that consistently restocks.
You know you’ve hit a certain milestone when a stain remover is one of your favorite things. Grandma’s Stain Remover promised such crazy things as removing grease/oil stains that had already been washed and dried in. I was skeptical, but it lived up to the promise, saving me a few shirts in the process!
I’m trying to make more of an effort to invest in better clothing rather than buying a many $5 items from a certain box store. These Lululemon Love Crew T-Shirts are amazing. A bit of an investment, yes, but the quality shows. The white isn’t see through, the material has a slight athletic feel to it that I’m hoping will slow it from yellowing like most white shirts tend to do, and the cut is extremely flattering.
I’ve sung the praises of the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask before, but it’s really saved my skin this month. Our weather has been fluctuating between cold and hot pretty dramatically, and my skin has been extra dry. This is helping with the dry skin so much.
It’s seems like it’s been a long time since we’ve watched a show that I really, really loved. The Gilded Age on HBO Max was so, so good. I loved all the actors, the writing, and the way they seamlessly wove in historical facts. There was even a companion podcast for more history nerd enjoyment. Highly recommend!
