Mom fail of the week: Potty training is going very slowly with Nolan. Truth be told, I haven’t tried very hard because Isla has been having regressions and the thought of doing both at once makes me want to go into the fetal position permanently. But, now that he’s 3, I’m feeling that social pressure to get it done. Not to mention I’m really over changing diapers. On top of that, he’s a notorious pool pooper, which is just as disgusting as it sounds. I know it will happen when he’s ready and it can be a long process. I’m trying to remember that I can’t control everything and you can’t make a kid go on command. I’m just really ready for my life to not be dictated by another human’s digestive system!
Currently…
Listening to: “Me” by Taylor Swift on repeat. Not by choice, I’d like to clarify. This is Isla’s current favorite song and I feel like it’s everywhere!
Watching: I am finally caught up on Vanderpump Rules, which for a Bravo fanatic like myself feels like a huge accomplishment. It is such a dumpster fire and I can’t believe humans are choosing to act this way, let alone do it on television, but I thank them for their service nonetheless.
Wearing: I got this suit for the summer and I have loved it so far! One pieces can be hard because of my long torso, but this one is great even in the regular size. I’m about 5′ 9″ and in a large. It has adjustable straps and keeps everything in place so you can still be in the water with your kids and not worry about anything popping out. The kimono/cover up is from last year, but here is this year’s version.
Looking forward to: Our webinar series that starts Monday!! I’m sure you’ve heard by now, but we have assembled a badass team of 30 experts (all mothers!) talking about literally every aspect of motherhood. This coming week’s theme is Health & Wellness: Moms Are People Too.
Planning: This webinar series! We weren’t kidding when we said this is like our 3rd baby!
Meal plan: I just got an air fryer, and I have been loving life. I won this one while I was in Austin for Mom 2.0 and I’m really happy with it! I do wish the basket was a little bigger, but it’s not a deal breaker. I hate cooking in the summer because the house gets so hot and this has been the perfect solution. But, I’m really struggling to get a plan together. We’ve really been taking advantage of more daylight, no morning routine and late bedtimes, which means dinner time has taken a hit.
